Is it actually quiet, or is that just marketing
It is genuinely quieter than clippers and than most cheap grinders, because the motor is balanced rather than rattling inside the housing. We are not going to quote you a decibel figure we have not measured ourselves. Try it, and if your pet still hates it, send it back within 60 days.
Will the vacuum actually work on a heavy shedder
Yes. It is built to handle a double coat, not just a light shedder. Work through the coat in the direction of hair growth in short passes, and the deshedding head is designed specifically for pulling loose undercoat without catching skin.
Will it stall on thick nails or a large breed
No. The motor holds its speed under pressure, and turbo mode is there for exactly this. The largest port exposes the full grinding surface so you can take material off quickly on thick nails.
My pet is already terrified of nail trims. Will this help
Usually, but go slowly. Let them sniff it switched off. Then run it near them without touching a paw. Then do one nail and stop, even if you could do more. Most owners are doing full paws within two or three sessions. Trying to do all four on day one is what undoes the progress.
Is it safe for cats, kittens and small pets
Yes. The smallest port is sized for cats, kittens and toy breeds, and owners regularly use it on rabbits and guinea pigs too. Start on the lowest speed for anything small or nervous.
How long does the battery last
It charges over USB and the display shows you the charge remaining, so it will not die halfway through a paw without warning. We will publish an exact runtime figure once production units are tested rather than repeating a number off a supplier sheet.
